‘A Plastic Ocean’ Special Screening

CAPIM will host a special screening of ‘A Plastic Ocean’, a multi award-winning documentary on the ecological impacts of plastic pollution.

This event will be a unique opportunity to meet film producer Jo Ruxton, on an official visit to Australia. Jo will introduce the film, provide behind-the-scenes stories and update on the current and future initiatives of the Plastic Oceans Foundation "to change the world’s attitude towards plastic within a generation".

In this documentary, an international team of adventurers, researchers, and Ocean ambassadors go on a mission around the globe to uncover the shocking truth about what is truly lurking beneath the surface of our seemingly pristine Ocean. The result will astound viewers–just as it did our adventurers–who captured never-before-seen images of marine life, plastic pollution, and its ultimate consequences for human health.

Filmed in 20 locations around the world, 'A Plastic Ocean' documents in beautiful and chilling detail the global effects of plastic pollution and introduces workable technology and policy solutions that can, if implemented in time, change things for the better.

Light refreshments will be precede the screening, which will be followed by Q&A.

This is a free public event. Gold coin donations are welcome.
